UPDATE: COVID-19 and CLIR’s 2022 Events (May 10)

Updated: May 10, 2022

As our 2022 CLIR Events Calls for Proposals (CFPs) come to a close, we thought this might be a good time to touch base on our current thinking about health and safety at our events in October. To review our first announcement of this nature, visit the News section of our events website.

We are still proceeding with plans for in-person events. As our CFPs close and our review process begins, we continue to collect input from our community of folks (reviewers, planning committee, prospective presenters and authors) who set up accounts on our conference management site, ConfTool. When setting up an account, folks are asked, With respect to Covid-19, what would help you feel safe at an in-person event? This is an optional question that will help CLIR staff understand your health and safety needs with respect to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.

So far we’ve received several dozen responses, and we’re taking them under consideration as we look ahead to the fall. As we hit the later milestones in our event planning process like registration opening and the program release later this summer, we will continue to share updated information and will provide as many details as we can.

For now, if you have questions or feedback for us, you can reach us at forum@diglib.org or you can provide your thoughts when setting up your ConfTool account, which you can do now or when registration opens this summer.

Thank you for your understanding as we navigate how to reconvene safely.
